Child Development Services of Ottawa County, Inc. (CDS) invites proposals for the renovations and repairs for a new Head Start Preschool center located in the Holland Town Center 12330 James Street, Holland, MI 49424 Suited D30 & D40. A description of our organization, the services needed, and other pertinent information is as follows.
CDS is a not-for-profit organization incorporated in 1967 in the State of Michigan and is exempt from federal income taxes under Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. CDS’s mission states that “In accordance with Head Start, a national program, CDS will promote school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children through the provision of educational, health, nutritional, social and other services to enrolled children and families.”
In addition to operating all the Early Head Start and Head Start programming in Ottawa County, CDS operates a privately funded day care facility that offers a reduced fee structure based on income.
CDS requesting the following quotes for:
- Electrical work including sealed electrical plans for permits
- Fire Suppression System
- Security and Door Alarm System
- Plumbing which needs to include commercial bathrooms and sinks & kitchen area
- Classroom Cabinets and Countertop
- Flooring
If you would like to provide a quote for any of the above, please contact us as soon as possible for a walk through of the facility where we can provide more details.
Would like the work to be completed no later than October 1, 2025.
Please include the following with your proposal:
- The company’s background and experience in building renovations.
- A proposed timeline for completing the work.
- Your proposed cost for the project, including any provisions should any additional work need to be done that was not included in the project costs.
- References and contact information from former clients

We would appreciate receiving your proposal by August 15, 2025. Please send your proposal to my attention at 100 Pine St., Suite 220, Zeeland, MI 49464. Proposals will be reviewed by CDS management, who will make a recommendation regarding the choice of contractors to the Board of Directors.
